Is the Thule 4200 awning suitable for taller motorhomes?
No, this awning is designed for vans with an awning fitting height of 2.50m. As this awning does not have a steep pitch, reaching the legs would be challenging and potentially dangerous.
How do i know what length fits my motorhome?
This is often a subjective question. Will you be adding side panels? Do you mind covering a window? Can you manage a larger awning? Whilst there is often a maximum length, this isn’t always the correct way to make your decision.
Why is the Thule 4200 not listed under compatible awnings for the Thule Panorama Room?
Whilst Thule list the Panorama Room as incompatible, we successfully fit this room to the 4200 model. Due to the shape of the awning front rail, the zips can be slightly tight when connecting front and side panels. To date, we have not had any negative feedback around this and will continue to list this as compatible.
Why can’t i remove my awning winding handle?
In short, his comes down to technique. Treat the awning handle with a delicate touch and copy the action of removing and installing a light bulb. I recommend our customers “use their fingertips” and note the angle of the gearbox. If the angle of the handle is not following the angle of the gearbox, you will struggle to remove or insert the handle.
I always recommend customers apply downward pressure on the winding handle to stop it from jumping out of the mechanism.
